I would keep it more general and imagine the type of person you would like to have a relationship with. If there is someone you know who has all of these characteristics and personality traits, then you could say that you would like to have a relationship "with someone like John". This gives the Universe more scope to deliver the right person to you.

Ok thanks. Do you think it's best to try and manifest a general relationship or a specific person in to my life. For example, someone who is already there in the background that could lead to a relationship? Or whether to just ask for a relationship in general?? If that makes sense.

You let doubt creep into your mind....so recognising this fact is already a step in the right direction.
KNOW and truly BELIEVE that the right person will show up for you. The Universe is perfect!! You WILL meet your soulmate, but you cannot force the timing. The Universe has its own clock.
I know that you want it NOW or SOON, but it may just not be the right time for you. Stop trying so hard. WANTING a loving relationship so much is putting LACK out into the world.
Enjoy every day and live in the moment. Know that you will attract a loving relationship when the time is right.
