Friendships

I've always had a hard time making friends...I'm a nice person and people seem to like me, but it never turns into a friendship. It's hard not to compare my life with those I come in contact with. I know I focus on not having solid friendships, but it's hard not to. I welcome any advice. My sadness in this matter consumes me.
